Lets-A Go Fast! a sonic vs mario take

 

''Lets-A Go Fast!'' -Pob (Pobs Deadly Fights)

Set up:

Sonic was running through Mushroom Hill while destroying badniks as per usual... till he stops when he notices mini Marios. 

Sonic: ''...Huh. i guess that eggheads producing new products now.'' Sonic says before beginning destroying them alongside the way, almost like following a trail.

meanwhile Mario was jumping across platforms as he stomps on Koopas as per usual...

Just then... they both notice eachother. Sonic notices Mario stomping onto a Koopa and Mario notices Sonic destroying Mini robots.

Sonic yelled out at him: "Hey pal! You better have a good reason for stomping critters like that!

Mario then responded with slight aggressive: "Oi stop destroying mini-mes! I was-a wondering where they ran off to! Also these-a things are-a not harmless!-

Just then Mario gets cut off by Bowser Jr on his clown car in the air near by: "Oh no! Its that red menace who stomps innocent turtles! Can somebody please stop him!!!"

Jr then turned his back at them with his smug face hidden while silently chuckling.

Before Mario could comprehend Sonic cuts him off: "Alright i've heard enough! Now i'll show you!"

He says as he prepares to dash towards him.

Mario takes this as a sign to ready up... and the battle BEGINS!

FIGHT!

Sonic dashed forwards. Mario gets startled by his mere speed! Button A pops up as a quick time event and jumped over Sonic. Sonic quickly stops himself and turns around. Both sides looked at eachother in either awe or surprise for a second before Sonic goes down and preps his spindashes and blasts towards him... meanwhile Mario used a ice flower just in time and froze Sonic back. His pose referencing sonic mania. Then in quick fashion Mario turns into fire Mario and shot a single fire ball at the ice cube. It basically drills through and melting it... the moment it makes contact with Sonic he jumps out of the ice trap and breaking it in the process with a "YOUCH!"

Sonic collected himself... alongside some rings as they both silently glared at eachother... Mario shot out 2 fire balls which Sonic responds with DOZENS of sonic booms. Mario jumped back in surprise before getting hit multiple times before Sonic stops as Mario loses his power up and gotten launched back.

Mario then looked through his inventory of items before picking the bubble flower.

Just when he looked back up he sees that Sonic is gone. Just as he roams around a bit... just then another quick time event happens outta nowhere and jumps out of the way and rolled out of the way of Sonics sphere form.

Sonic: "Woah! Youre a copycat now? Thats no good." He said sarcastically.

Mario: "Copycat? Oho- thats-a not how i swing from-a side to side!"

Mario says with a bit cockiness. Just as Sonic runs and plans to drop kick him... He gets trapped in a bubble.

Sonic looks astonished while Mario pulls out a blaster from rabbids.

Sonic seeing this gets a idea and just... falls on his back. Popping the bubble in the process while the blaster barely missing him.

Sonic then drops down in ball while revving up his spindash before attempting to get closer to Mario... He keeps almost getting hit and narrowly dodging his blasts.

Just then Mario attempts to shoots out another bubble.. only for Sonic to absorb it with ease. And with that spin jumps at the blaster which causes a small explosion and hurting Marios hand in the process. Losing the power up once more.

"OWIE! MAMMA (gibberish)"

Sonic takes this as a opportunity to combo Mario with many punches and kicks.. Just then Mario gets the blue shell power up spins as well mid air. which collides with a upcoming spin attack... they kept going at the spin which went faster and faster and FASTER!.... before the spark of energy eventually develops a explosion. Causing  both to get knocked back in their perspective sides.

We cut to Sonic quickly getting up and stretching a bit before looking onwards.

"Hmph... that red clothed mustache guy is tough. Cant underestimate him like the other red clothed mustache man."

Cutting back to Mario with him jumping back up on his feet.

"Wowie zowie... that speed! Cappy you there?"

His cap reveals a pair of eyes with a "yep" coming out of it.

Mario: "Ah good to know my friend!"

Just then he sees Sonic from a distance, fast approaching. And with that he threw Cappy just in time towards him.

Meanwhile Sonics quills tingled when he felt the caps presence... before turning into a ball and rolls below the thrown cappy. Mario jumps over Sonic once more but Sonic quickly revved up a spin dash mid air before knocking him back forwards before Mario could step on the ground again. Cappy's eyes widen as he attempts to fly back to where Mario was thrown with Sonic running.

Mario mid air then gets a idea to combine power ups... and with that he took out the super leaf and hammer bro suit...

Cutting back to Sonic he sees Mario flying in the air. He kept dropping hammers at Sonic with Sonic narrowly dodging them as always.

"That guy can fly?! Oh i might have to call for back u- 

He stops mid sentence when he sees a cannon near by a battle field and gets a idea... just then he spindashes and enters it before aiming at Mario.

Mario gets taken aback when he realizes what Sonic is about to do! And so prepares to turn himself into stone as Sonic blasts himself towards Mario mid air... with great accuracy.

The spiky ball tries to saw through the stone form while slowly cracking it before Sonic gets off of him to see whats happening.

Mario then unstones and threw a hammer at Sonics head, causing him to lose bits of rings.

"Oh why you!-

Just then... an montage plays.  Sonic causes sonic booms towards Mario non stop. Then cuts to Mario Deflecting them with his cape while spin jumping. It then cuts to Sonic doing a Quick Cyloop... the montage kept going Before they both accidentally bounced off a bounce pad. Mario then takes this as a sign to end this before throwing a mini mushroom just when Sonic was distracted and turns him small.

Sonic: "Aw what?!... ah wait this is sorta familiar..."

Just then he notices what Mario was gonna do and fails to escape his hands as Mario threw him up and manifesting a tennis racket before hitting Sonic with it. Thankfully Sonic lands on a higher ground of platform as he then regains his original size.

Mario and Sonic stared at eachother... before Mario notices a pipe below him and gets a idea to ground stomp down into it. Sonic sees this... and silently runs down from the hill.

Cutting to the underground.. its seemingly a mix of both underground world AND Marble zone.

Anywho Sonic came out of the sideways pipe as a ball before running normally. Looking for Mario while occasionally going past Mario enemies and blowing up badniks... he wass deep in thought of where he mightve been hiding...  just as he was running on a straight path- KAPOW! 

Mario in his drill form surprise attacked Sonic, mimicking sonic 3 intro, and causing Sonic to lose all 7 rings.

Before Sonic could make sense of it Mario then threw a boomerang over the ring and back, collecting them in the process.

Mario: "Ohohoho! You should-a seen your face!... So you-a collect rings?"

Sonic then gets up with a annoyed look.

Sonic: "Hey! You better give me those back!"

Mario then put up a thinking pose... before pulling out his Mario kart out of a nowhere. Sonic stopped himself. And Mario stuffed 3 mushrooms into it and driving away into some bricky tracks.

Sonic took this as a challenge and began running towards the paths Mario taken.

Sonic began gaining speed towards Mario and Mario knew... he then threw a banana peel behind smugly, only for a second later it gets thrown back at his head.

Mario: "Hmph.. this-a hedgehog is-a tougher than i thought..."

He then threw away the peel before doing a donut while slowly stopping the car to face Sonic. Just then... Mario is the one to lose his opponent. And then out of the nowhere Sonic began spin jumping on Marios car around 8 times or so while Mario tries to stop him.

"Hey! This is mine car youre-a breaking! Hooo you mamma mia..."

Just then dry oil gets spat on Marios face causing Sonic to stop... only to laugh at him.

Mario just looks annoyed at this and rubs it off with his gloved hands.

"Haha... very funny..."

Just then he jumped out of the car and challenges him to go hand to hand again, Sonics laughter finally died down and looks smug to take Mario down.

The two attacked eachother once more with Sonic getting lucky hits causing Mario to stumble back a bit. in a mean time Mario doesnt notice a Thwomp quickly falling down. Just as Mario tries pulling up a power up... Sonic sees the Thomp and quickly takes action as he quickly does a sonic storm forwards towards Mario, causing enough knockback before the Thwomp could hit him in the process...

Mario looked up and looks in shock as he realizes he was too distracted to see the Thwomp. the Thwomp then moved up slowly after it failed killing Mario and revealing concerned Sonic.

Sonic: ''Hey man you alright?''

Mario then quickly jumps back up before saying ''Phew...'' as he fans himself with his hat for a bit.

Sonic says smugly: ''Heya man im a hero you know. could at least say thank you''

Mario says respectfully: ''Wahoo! yes much appreciated!''

Sonic:''Alright... so where were?'' 

Sonic revs up his spindashes... and shoots himself towards him. Just in time Mario turns himself into a elephant. Sonics ball form then kept bouncing off of the elephants stomach against a wall like a pinball with Sonic making dizzy noises in fast pace. Before he gets launched into a large area with water.

Mario slowly approached a edge of it and sees Sonic struggling to find a way out while holding his breath. Mario looked at his shoulder and sees a pipe... either leave Sonic for death or save him... Eventually Mario slaps himself with his trunk and then pulls out a frog suit.

Cutting back to Sonic he is beginning panicking as the drown music intensifies...

Just then... A Bubble spawns in front of him. He sees Mario combined the 2 power ups of frog suit and bubble flower... Sonic not sensing any malice from this eventually absorbs the bubble.

Then Mario began spin jumping which began spawning 2 bubbles at a same time with Mario taking his side of bubbles. Sonic knows what Marios implying and with that Jumped across each bubble at a time... before eventually coming back up to where he was before. Sonic coughed for a bit before Mario asks him: "Heya, you alright Mr. Needlemouse?"

Sonic: "Ugh... -not my name. But thanks dude! Youve.. actually saved my life?"

Mario: "No problemo! After all youve also saved-a mine life back there as well... after all imma number one!"

Sonic says teasingly: "Hmm.. wouldnt say number one persay..." 

Mario then puts his metal cap on before replying: "Oh so wanna go at it again, mister? Well... LETSA GO!"

Sonic: "Oh puh-lease! I eat metal for breakfast!" Sonic says smugly

And with that.. the fight went on!

Mario tries to get a easy punch at Sonic only for Sonic to dodge that and steal his metal cap.

Mario: "Oi! Get back here you hedgehog!"

Sonic: "Come and get it, Jumpman!" then puts it on himself... only for him to turn into THE Metal Sonic. He looked taken back when he saw his clawed hands.

Sonic: "...Woah! What the-...

Sonic snapped out of it and looked up and sees Mario is missing while the metal cap began running out.

Sonic: "Oh... Come on!"

Sonic looked around a bit, thinking of where or how Mario disappeared like that... Sonic then closed his eyes and rubbed his nose.... just then he dodges a hammer that was gonna hit him behind. When he checks to see whos holding it he sees nobody. Just then Sonic gets a idea and began running in circles around Mario.. or well infinites around and gaining rings in the process with the dust dusting Mario just enough to make him visible again.

Mario began spatting out the dust that entered his lungs: "Plyat! Ah... Youre-a clever lil guy Hedgehog i admit."

Sonic: "Aw man you tell me! I wish i had that ability!"

And with that Sonic began comboing Mario which causes Mario to fight back with his power ups. And kept going at it and just as Mario pulls out a cherry... Sonic yoinks it!

Sonic: "Aw.. you need this? Well too bad!"

And with that Sonic made 2 clones of himself before the three spindashing around Mario and causing a blue vortex which lifts Mario up in the air before the 3 attempt to combo Mario. Mario fights off and defends himself pretty well but just then... the 3 Sonics do a homing attack and throwing Mario through the marble zone section of the underground.

Mario: "Aw... mamma mia..." Mario says before getting off of the brick wall.

Cutting back to the 3 Sonics: "Alright team, you all know what im thinking?"

Sonic clone: "Ah yeah, can we grab a chili dawg after this?"

Sonic stared at him for a moment before saying: "...Eh. Yeah alright. After we beat that plumber of course."

And with that the 3 dashed towards Mario through lava... Just then Mario uses the super star and turns invincible while holding up a smug stance. First Sonic poofs before they knew it. The second Sonic tried to stop himself only for his own speed finishes him off as he poofs as well.. but before second got poofed a yellow light was made... with the third Sonic knocking Mario back further into the debris.

Mario: "OOF!... What the?"

Sonic stood before him in his super form. Proudly.

Sonic: "You thought i'd forget about rings, big guy? Well now i'll show you Super Sonic Style!"

And with that Sonic in his Super form began repeatedly hitting Mario through the debris before repeatedly punching him in the sky again... however Mario has his white tanooki suit now and with that hits Sonic with his hammer again. Causing Sonic to back off a bit. 

The both parties kept flying at eachother with both getting lucky hits.

Eventually Sonic does homing shots at Mario which catches him off guard and accidentally drops the hammer. Both stare at each other before they attempt to fly down to snatch the hammer before it hits the ground... just as Marios close to reach it Sonic then dashes it and snatches it with ease.

Sonic: "Hah! They dont call me the fastest thing alive for nothing!"

Mario: "Aw mamma mia!"

And with that Super Sonic repeatedly began hitting Mario like a pinball against the ground with the hammer motion referencing donkey kong before hitting a home run like how Mario hit sonic with a racket into a forest that closely resembles mario rpg... Sonic also breaks the hammer hitting Mario in the process.

Sonic: "Ah... Whoops!"

Just as he was about to fly towards where Mario launched he collects a ring accidentally by magnetizing it. He then looks up and sees how many rings he has... looking calculative.

Cutting to Mario. He slowly began getting up while arching his back

Mario: "Oof... That-a Spiky Animal is a real challenge compared to the other Spiky Animal!

Just then he sees Cappy in his ghost form.

Cappy: "Mario! Mario! I've tried coming back to you this whole time!"

Mario: "Cappy! My friend! I could use bit of-a back up right now."

Cappy: "Well. No worries. I've found this!

Cappy then tosses a item towards Mario and Mario catches it... only to reveal to be... the giga bell?!

Mario: "W-Wait-a... howd you shrink this-a thing?!"

Cappy: "Oh. Lets just say that size doesnt matter when you have... THESE!"

and reveals a collection of mini mushrooms

Mario: "Wowie Zowie! Youre a genius!  Quicka turn yourself into-a my cap and enter my inventory before the Fast-Blur returns!"

...Eventually Super Sonic lands in front of Mario and looks smug.

Sonic: "Heya Italian man! Sorry if i was late to the party, so you wanna keep going?"

Mario: "Ohohoho!.. Thank you so much for-a playing mine game!"

Sonic: "...Oh? What do you have planned?"

Just then... Mario transforms into a gigantic Giga Cat Mario!!!

Sonic looks stunned for a second before just barely avoiding a large Fast Stomp from him.

Mario then gets on all fours and attempts to scratch Super Sonic while Super Sonic constantly has to dodge that. 

Each time its Marios turn to attack it resembles Bowsers Fury. Each time it cuts to Sonic. It resembles Sonic Frontiers.

Both get good hits against eachother with Super Sonic getting some scratch wounds.

Just then Super Sonic dashes forwards and gets caught in Marios palms before getting span around and thrown into space.

Mario: "So long-a Lame Hedgehog!"

With Mario not wasting any time he starts power squatting before launching himself upwards into space alongside Sonic.

             THE CLIMAX

 

Super Sonic regained himself and does Cross Slashes at Mario while Mario tries to think of a way to get him... Sonic was basically beating Mario up as Mario didnt think that much ahead.

Just then Mario notices a star launcher and gets a idea... Sonics attacks kept getting Mario closer and closer into it and then tosses a giga mushroom into it. Turning it bigger. And with the force Sonic sent Mario in... Mario easily and quickly enters through while using a giga wingcap and with that... Super Sonic began getting swong, punched, kicked and slaced in repeat by Mario each time he looped around him in a fast pace. But eventually he gets slown down over time which Super Sonic takes it as a opportunity to uses Homing shots and gotten rid off the wing cap.

Super Sonic sees a white wisp approaching him seemingly wanting to help out... which sonic accepts. he uses its extra speed boost and flew through the star launcher himself and quickly gets launched near a planet and span dozens of times around it in repeat before launching back towards Mario while having dozens of debris following behind him.

Mario and Sonic both looked determined as Mario prepares to take it all.

Sonic first tries spindashing to him with Mario blocking him with his arms before knocking him back by releasing his fore arms. But that left him open to the dozens of debris that Sonic collected along the way and began hitting Mario back towards Earth multiple of times. And while Mario is distracted... Sonic then began using other stones around his series and turns into a form similar to... Hyper Sonic!

And with that..

He does a homing attack towards Mario down to earth with Mario having a hard time getting him off of him.

The both kept going down and down and DOWN with the clouds taking over the screen before revealing that Mario is now in his white tanooki suit and Hyper Sonic turning into Super Sonic... Mario began gripping the yellow ball away from him similary to death battles mario vs sonic 2... then of bunch of sky Mario enemies and badniks take over the screen before revealing their normal forms with Sonic having 0 RINGS and Mario losing HP as he lost his grip in him as gravity takes over. Eventually he grips Cappy (Whom he himself looks scared) tightly before he plans to hit Sonic with him and take over his body. As Mario screams out "WAaAHaAHAhaHAAAA!-

...The screen fades white and reveals everything being black and pure white. With a similar looking mushroom explosion being in the center.

It them fades to Sonic's critters looking to see the commotion before fading to dinossaurs doing the same with Yoshi saying "...Wooooah!"

....it then fades into a large cracked hole of where the 2 landed.... before a pipe comes out of the ground with Sonic jumping out of it with Marios Cap.... we dont see his face yet. The moment he steps on the black and white ground it regains back color, referencing sonic mania.

As the whole world... regains color once more.

We then cut to Sonics blackened face and hat.... and then...... 

We see Sonic is still Sonic. He gets the hat off his head and examines it. He looks... bittersweet and says bittersweetly: "...Your name was... Mario right? (It then cuts to a slight flashback while he was collecting rings he heard some chanter about Mario, part of how he gotten that information in the first place)

Sonic: "...Thanks for saving my life back there... Number One."

And with that he putten his hat down to the ground before speeding off.... the speed causes the hat to fly off towards Cappy which he catches but looks saddened. He looks where Mario landed and mourns his demise... Mario's game over theme plays at the scene.

...okay now for true ending.

It then expands and reveals this whole fight taken place inside a tv... then we cut to Mario and Sonic holding controllers. Mario was controlling Sonic and Sonic was controlling Mario.

Mario: ''Hah! Its a 2 - 1 Sonic!''

Mario: ''Oh puh-lease! i would've won if i hit you with Cappy fast enough.''

Mario: ''Uhuh, sure, sure...''

Sonic: ''Well I want a rematch!''

Mario: ''Oh really? well alrighty, i suppose a couple of more rounds wont hurt before i go on-a dinner date with Peachy.''

and with that... they kept gaming.

These will be the catergories:

Speed - This ones clear as day, Sonic's whole thing is SPEED. Sure Mario can run... relatively fast but nothing really close to what Sonic can do.

Durability - This ones a tie. both endured crazy things in their games. from explosives to even pressures from space and withstanding black holes!

Arsenal - This ones a cake walk, Mario has soooooo many different types of power ups at his disposal to catch Sonic off guard compared to whatever Sonic has.

IQ - Both have.. shockingly good amount of IQ with Mario shown that he can have so many types of jobs! even became a DOCTOR! Meanwhile while Sonic... definitely isn't likely to become a doctor but he HAS been shown to hack in Sonic Frontiers. now if its a visualization of him hacking or thats how he actually hacks is unknown. so imma play it safe and give it a tie.

Experience - While Mario may be older than Sonic... they've both shown alot of experiences when its about fighting or venturing. Its hard to say when Mario truly started out as a hero...but Sonic started out early as a teen. so yeah... tie.

Reaction speed - Both have amazing reaction speeds in all honesty. While Mario has quick time events while Sonic can use his nose to sense danger and has spider sense- uhhh hedgehog sense... quills sense??? ehh either way both have that going for them.

Scaling - With everything leading to this... theres just one last thing that could decide who would be the winner.... the scaling of both series. Im not trying to downplay Mario or anything like that but.. come on. Sonic ran from a black hole, defeated a 4th dimensional being and even beaten time eater, meanwhile Mario can throw a big turtle that bowser is with ease and beaten entities that are able to destroy the multiverse... however i think Mario has more finite universes while Sonic has infinite. Sure Mario COULD use cappy... but Sonic can sense whats dangerous so he should easily avoid it with his super speed. Any who this

sure you could argue ''what if Mario used 1 ups? shouldnt it be a stomp for Mario?'' ''couldnt Mario just keep coming backa nd back?''well one key problem with that is that... well Sonic can cause destruction beyond spiritual level as seen in 06 or even generations with time eater.and with that.

                                      the winner is: SONIC!!!!!!!

...anywho heres also a alternate ending.

As the whole world... regains color once more.

We then cut to Sonics blackened face and hat.... and then...... 

we see Marios mustache it worked!

Mario now in Sonics body examines it... before wanting to test it out.

and so he experiences his super speed and spin attacks! he beats goombas and koopas with ease and then notices a flag afar... and then runs towards its direction. we then cut to Mario jumping out of Sonics body similar to what he can do with yoshi in mario world the camera expands and reveals a endless pit.

as Sonic regains his consciousness he quickly screams as he falls down before popping back up and falling again as his game over theme plays. while he falls it transitions to Mario pulling the flag down and at last Cheers with joy!
